Let's Go to Coban Rondo Waterfall

Coban Rondo waterfall is one of  beautiful sight in Indonesia. The name Coban Rondo is derived from the word coban and rondo, its meaning coban (Java Lenguage) is waterfall and rondo (Java Lenguange) is meaning widow.

In the legend of Java people, Coban rondo has interesting story. Her story is when the newly married couples to marry. The wife called Dewi Anjarwati originating from Gunung Kawi. While her husband was named Raden Baron Kusuma from Mount Anjasmoro. Some days, they are met with Joko Lelono who unknow origin. Joko Lelono captivated by the beauty of Dewi Anjarwati and tried to seize it.


Finally, a fight between Raden Joko Lelono by Baron Kusuma unavoidable. The accompanying his bodyguard (Punokawan in Java Laguage), Raden Baron advised that Dewi Anjarwati hidden in a place where there waterfall. Fights went on until finally Raden Baron and Joko Lelono are both dead. Thus Dewi Anjarwati widowed or in the Java language that is rondo. Since then, the waterfall where Dewi Anjarwati waiting for her husband called Coban Rondo. That said, a large stone under the waterfall is the seat of the princess.

The Coban Rondo waterfall is located in Batu, East Java, Indonesia. If you want to reach the waterfall, you have to walk about 2 km from the purchase of a ticket counter. The trip will not feel heavy because of the thick green trees that will protect you from the sun and give plenty of oxygen to the lungs. The path that must be passed so as not to burden the already well on your way.
